The 1884CC is, like Bryan said, among the most common of the Carson City Morgans. In fact, Ellesmere has them only slightly above the 1883CC in demand and rank; the 83CCs are the lowest on the CC list. While there may be some exceptions based on an individual coin's attractiveness, don't expect to get much over $200 for the MS-64 and maybe $175 for the MS-63 on the open market (e.g.,
ebay).
From a LONG term investment viewpoint, it is expected that the GSA CC Morgans will creep up in value slightly faster than an identical Morgan in a regular (non-NGC) slab since NGC is the only
TPG certifying them in the original GSA holders and, as a result, many are being cracked out of the GSA holders for certification by ANACS and PCGS. As the years go by (a LOT of years), the numbers of CCs in GSA holders will decrease in numbers thus increasing them in value. Over the past couple years, 84CCs in lower MS grades are just not inflating in value (MS-65s are just a little, but not keeping ahead of inflation; higher MS's are doing only a little better).
