There is an indentation near where the final date number would be but it doesn't look like there was ever a final year number stamped. Anyone want to offer their opinion?

If it is not post mint damage, I would guess that it was struck with a filled die.

I don't think it's post mint because it doesn't show any scratches in the area that would take out a number, including the rim and edge...I wonder if its worth anything other than the interest value I'm keeping it for

I agree with the filled die, I don't see anything that appears to be damage.

I know the pros will be able to diagnose this in a milli-second, but if possible, could we see more of the coin?

It is a 1980, Struck Through Grease. It matches my Quarter Dol nicely

Thanks for the pic, bio.

I know some of you don't need anything more than the zoom pics, but I like to get a feel for what the overall coin is saying, too.

hey bio, nice Quarter Dol. What year is it? 199 or 197? Maybe it was next in line with my 198.

Do you have any coin tubes? Rolling them is a bummer, but at least you wouldn't have to count them.

The Quarter Dol is a 1978, I found it in change as a kid around 1983/84

I have similar, 1976 Half Dollar, the year should be 1776 . 1976. What I have has only 1976, no 1776 at all, clean. Not even a trace of 1776. I couldn't send a picture at this time.
