What category exactly does die trails fall under? Are they considered a variety since the trails are on the dies?

Other than wavy steps and the stronger examples I've seen posted here before, I really haven't been looking for these.

It's a die variety. This one is worth around $7, I think. They are not rare but neat to find. I have found around 500 wavy step varieties and less then 100 trail dies.
