Thanks guys. Your fantastic. No sooner had this posted when I had nine replies. I was thinking on the same lines as you and probably would not have bought the coin anyway. Have to learn how to look for brush marks, scratches, etc. One thing that throws me off is the high number of bids these guys get on these coins. If I see 15-20 bids I tend to think there cant be that many stupid coin collectors out there. Guess there can be.
Thanks again.

Wow........fill in the blanks here: A BLANK and his BLANK are soon BLANKED.
But much sooner if they bid on anything this guy has with the possible exception of the silver eagles. Maybe.

That auction looks like a regurgitated acid trip.

Quote: I've been laughing at this jerk's auctions for years. And yet he's a "top-rated seller" with 99.7% positive feedback. Wow, that makes me even MORE wary of ebay on the whole. I figured if a seller had over 95% positive, it was a pretty safe bet. Clearly, I was mistaken. What are the cues to watch out for on ebay that make a generally very good seller? Maybe this question warrants its own thread? I dunno, it would be helpful for n00bs like myself. I think from now own, I'm just going to pose everything to you folks before I buy anything!! oy. Yikes. Glad I'm learning as much as I am here! Y'all are a great resource. =)

At least anything that has any value or you have any doubt about. To me that is what this place is all about.

Agree with all the previous posts. Also, I tend to avoid sellers who have trouble with extreamley complicated words like, "extremely."
