I seem to have come across about 7 Jefferson nickels that are a bit off center one slightly more so then the rest I was just wondering is this a very common thing and are these worth holding onto I will upload a few pics when I get the time any feedback would be appreciated and cool finds are always welcome too
Welcome to the forum Slash! First, a couples of things. Off centered means there is design missing. Uncentered means the design is not centered but is still complete on the coin. Also, it is important to know if your coins are off centered/uncentered on one side or both sides. An off centered error is struck out of the collar and is off centered on both sides. My guess is you have some coins with mis aligned dies (MAD) which would show on one side only and have no extra value unless there is some design missing. Let us know or show some pictures.
