Oh. It does look doubled but I don't have a 96 at hand to compare.

Thanks Chuck, I know there is normally a separation there, but this one seemed a little more north than usual. The top part of the chin doesn't usually seem to point back upward.

Scrutinize the coin more closely everywhere, Scooby. I dont think that doubling is typical. Look for more anomalies.

What I see is just a dent in the upper portion of the beard. Hit by another coin or object.
