I've seen this guy and copycats like him on ebay. I will never buy into anyone claiming that their rolls are truly unsearched. This is probably a 1908-S, possibly an 09-S if your lucky. I still would not throw my money at it such as this high bidder has done.

I can say this. If they were my rolls, no matter were I "found them" they would be searched.

Exactly. He claims to have bought them from a family in Tennessee, probably for a budget price already. My curiosity of that being a possible 09-S VDB or 09-S IHC, you bet I'd open em.

I wouldn't buy it but I'd pay $10 to open it and see what's in there!

Wow ..... it's up to $409!!

I hope the winning bidder finds some treasures in there ..... but I very much doubt that they will.

Agreed. The only way the "unsearched" line could possibly be true is if the seller was a complete coin ignoramus and didn't know that certain old coins were worth a lot more than others. Even then, an ignoramus wouldn't know that saying the rolls are "unsearched" might improve sales, since they wouldn't know there was anything worth searching for. His sales spiel indicates he knows perfectly well that certain types are more valuable, and that the coins on the ends of his rolls "might be" those types.

This guy's already sold at least 150 rolls, and there's no doubt more where that came from. Just how many rolls of pennies did this family in Tennessee have, anyway?

I do have a jar of US one cent coins that I place all my one cent pocket change in.
I have never searched them.
But one day...

and then there is the possibility I could wrap them and sell them on ebay?

Hey I've got a good idea.. let me buy a $4 coin, and a $60 coin. put it in a roll with a ton of 4c wheaties and sell it as unsearched.. I bet it will go for 100's.

As long as people buy it... they will keep selling it.

It's simple. He has found a way to maximize the most profit potential on an idea. He knows what's in there. Also, what are the chances of this Tennessee family have rolls with almost every roll showing a semi-key or key. Incredible.
