Several edge views. I can see a bit of edge reeding. Doesn't look like any outside forces were used to remove them

This is very common if you search halves. It has always been explained as being from repeated use in slot machines. Regardless of what caused it the result is PMD.

PMD = Post Mint Damage, and I agree with the coin being a slot machine coin. The small dings all over the surfaces is a dead giveaway.

That's a classic slot machine coin. Edge is constantly pounded as it falls in the till, eliminating the reeding eventually. Numerous contact marks almost has a " Dryer Coin" look.

In the 1st and 3rd edge views, it does appear to have some history of a reeded rim, and too it's a '92, been out there 18 years, I've seen Kens more slick than that

I never did think this one was a "gold mine"
It is interesting to hear a possible back story on how this happened.
As I have no idea how this coin came into my possesion, I know that I didn't give more than face value for it.(pre collecting though)
In all reality, My daughter found it somewhere in the house.
Interesting none the less
