First thought that popped into my head was trail dies, but they are so pronounced.

That looks very similar to a coin that was diagnosed with Feeder Finger Damage not long ago.

Good call Scobby Due,

Just got an answer from Mr Neff- Die scrapes caused by the feeder-arm mechanism.

I'll still hold on to it anyway- I like the way it looks!
