I just read the section of David Lange Mercury dime book, and he mention that there's 2 die variations to this which I didn't know the Die 1.

I have the cherry picker guide 4th edition and looking it over it only have the picture of Die 2, now my question is that are the price for both die the same price and which die state collectors prefer to own? Which is more scare?

David also mention a possible 3rd die waiting to be discover? Did any one find it yet? Book was published 2005.

I believe the 3rd die possibility exists only on the basis of statistical data interpretation. Time will tell. I don't know if either one of the dies bring a higher price. Here is an example of a die 2 that I grabbed at a coin store auction board last month. The reverse has verticle die polishing lines in the fields and some rub evidence on the right side. I was the only bidder. nlp

Store owner set the opening bid at $8.00. I bid $8.25 and took a chance that nobody would know what to look for and got lucky. nlp
