Here we have an interesting if unbelievable forgery from - where else? China. Looks like the die/mold was engraved with a rotary engraving tool. It appears to be a from scratch die and is very interesting to me. I will bid on this one just to have a type piece of this sort.

But please also take a look at his other "ancient coins" especially the US dollar coins that are selling for 3 to 5X what they are really worth.

Well I won it for openers along with the 1884 Morgan dollar for 50 cents over starting bid. So the pair will not cost me more than I typically pay for modern fakes anyway.

"Estados Unidos Hexicanos"! That's hilarious!

"1815" With the 1960's "Aztec headdress" design?

This coin is so wrong, it can't reasonably be called a "fake", as there's nothing "genuine" that's really like it.

Did you see the weight? "0.2 kg", or 200 grams - or nearly half a pound (for you non-metric folks)! Those "ancient Hexicans" must have some amazing technology to cram that much "silver" into a coin "1.8 inches" across! I hope you get what you paid for, Swamper! [:p]

My interest in this coin is two fold. First I want to know how the die or mold was made and in turn how the coin was produced. But the second reason is precisely because of all the errors pointed out by Sap. It is a fun piece.

Very Similar to the "United States of Maaxico" piece that the Numismatist used for an April Fools day article a year or two ago.
