I'm supposed to be picking up a box of halves from my wells fargo tomorrow. this will be the second time I've gotten a box of halves. I'm in southern california, and I'm sure we've all seen the dismal half finds that some of our SoCal friends have been posting. my contest is simple:
How many silver halves will I find?
Break it down into 40% and 90%. we'll include all types of potential 90% halves. (no separation into walker, franklin, kennedy, etc.)

Give me a total number, both 40 and 90% combined and break it down into number of 40% and 90% to be used as a tie breaker.

The winner will receive a Jefferson 1990 D "no FS" nickel and a 2009D dime. The nicest one I've got. If anyone guesses the EXACT number of both groups of silvers, they'll get a 40% half (whether I actually find a 40% or not) from my personal collection.
The standard 50 posts to participate applies as well. Thanks.

Update: in the event of an exact tie (same number of 40 and 90%), the one with the earlier guess will win the nickel, dime, and half and the later guess will receive only a no FS nickel and 2009d dime. Luckily I have multiples.

Update (05/19): Bank ordered DOLLARS instead of HALVES. My box will arrive (should arrive...) on monday. We'll keep the guessing open til monday. I'd like to leave it at 1 guess per person.

I almost feel guilty for guessing because I hope you do way way better than my guess.

Thanks for the contest and I believe you'll find

6 - 40% half dollars

2 - 90% half dollars

Total 8 silver halves

At first I was a bit more pessimistic but I am wishing you better luck than my original thought of three 40's.

I've amended the rules to include a tie break, since people may list the same numbers...
