price for a common 40's - 50's wheatie at a dealer = 5c
$25 face in 1c = 2500 cents.
2500 x 5c = $125.00
So if you were to receive all 1940-1950 wheaties it would only worth $125-ish.
that's a difference of $45 + $15 shipping so $60.
If you find any actual low mint dates, Errors, XF's, AU's, etc. you could maybe, MAYBE, break even.
Is it worth it? probably not.
Same seller is selling smaller lots of 5 rolls
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...260574810487same math, puts it at $12.50 with a difference of $6.50 + $6 shipping = $12.50
for bulk comparison sake lets see how that equates to the box.
250 coins x 100 = 2500 coins - 12.50 x 100 = $125. so its exactly the same cost comparison.
However the seller gives a bonus on the single rolls
Every 3rd Lot Earns 1 Roll Free
Buy 3 Lots - 15 Rolls + 1 BONUS roll FREE = 16 Rolls
Buy 6 Lots = 30 Rolls + 2 Free Rolls = 32 Rolls
Buy 9 Lots = 45 Rolls + 3 Free Rolls = 48 Rolls
Buy 99 Lots = 33 FREE ROLLS
but you add a $1.29 for each 5 rolls.
you have to buy 10 lots to equal out to a box (its actually a little over a box worth, 53 rolls)
so have now paid $189.90 + 17.50 in shipping = $207.40
so $184.44 for 50 rolls in a box or $207.40 for 53 rolls (roughly $5/roll for the extra 3).
which really equals out to .073 cents per Wheatie with the box, or .078 cents per wheatie with the individual rolls.
Man those free rolls are such a great deal. HAHA
Honeslty, if you are ok with paying 7 cents for 2500 40's - 50's wheaties.. then yes its worth it. Cause if you do buy it just assume thats all you'll find... that way you only win.
Now the real question... Can I resist buying a box after all that math. LOL
