well most banks will give you free flat rolls to roll coins. so as you unroll you can reroll them. makes it seem like a less daunting task.
Or what I do is my wife belongs to a credit union that accepts raw coins at no charge. Thats where I dump at.

Gutkowski, first, welcome to the addiction. LOL
Research your area. Many banks have a coin counter in at least a few of their branches. Locally, M&T has one branch with one, PNC has two and two of the smaller area banks have one. If you open an account, and I don't mean one buck, with them, they will count your coins for free.
My rules to keep from making anyone mad.
1. Buy your cents from a branch that does not have a counter. Never dump on the branch that you get your cents from.
2. Use two locations to count cents and alternate between them. Try to show-up once every two weeks so that the routine is not too much trouble for them.
3. Find out when they are typically slowest and try to bring them in then.
4. If you trust them, just leave them and come in latter to get your money. I do this and have never had a problem. It lets them do it when it is most convenient for them.
5. Bring in bagels or the like occasionally. (still cheaper than coinstar)
6. Be as nice as you can be.

Depending on how crazy you get with the coin sorting, Coinstar is an option. If you take your money in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks etc.), there's no charge. At some point, your coffee habit might not be able to keep up with your change habit though.

Indeed ...... once you get through that starter set of rolls you will be hooked forever. Welcome to the wonderful addiction. Be sure to check out the current running threads on roll finds ..... lots of knowledge buried in those pages and some great coin finds as well. I'm looking forward to hearing of your results! BTW .... I never got any plastic trays ..... good score .... now be a good sport and bring them back to save the rookie teller troubles from the boss. David
