Poll Question
I don't mean an ecrater store, I mean an actual coin shop.

Sometimes I think I should own my local shop the amount I spend there.

There is no way I'd open one here in California. Someday, I would like to own a little shop. For now, I just sell online.

I just collect and sell on line sometimes.

I'm seriously considering in the future. I'm too young and don't quite have the capital at the moment, though. I doubt anyone would take a 21 year old coin dealer seriously, heh.

Me, sell my coins? Never! I find it interesting that, as of this posting, there are 35 votes for "I just collect" and ZERO votes for the other two options.

Quote: I'm too young and don't quite have the capital at the moment, though. I doubt anyone would take a 21 year old coin dealer seriously I would.... Everyone has this opinion that it is costly to open a coin shop. Bull. You can start small by renting a showcase from your local antique shop and putting in some coins. From there determine what the local market wants to buy and keep buying coins to feed that market. Buy low, sell high and buy quality not quantity. Before you know it your little coin shop may grow to be very valuable if you buy and sell right. I wish you were local to Clarksville Tennessee as I would be happy to take you under my wing and show you the ropes. Sincerely, John Leckrone

A possible problem with this poll is there are many individuals that may work in one full or part time but not own one. Some coin stores are really not a coin store but a hobby store. And too there are coin counters in some stores that are not in reality a separate store. Of course there are those that don't actually have a real store but work out of their homes selling coins. Mostly on like. Lots of variables.
