As a novice coin collector (pennies mostly), I see several cataloging systems, i.e. Wexler, Coneca, Crawford, FS and CopperCoins. I don't know whose system I should use! I know this question may receive some flack, but if I am going to start a collection and maybe sell some of my coins, I want to use the most reputable system available. What is the best choice?

Remember that value is only what one (or 2 in auction setup) is willing to pay at a certain time in a certain setup. that's why I would say ebay > Advanced search > Completed listings
You also might want to compere it to HA.
But then again, is all perspective to the coins you collect, the reasons you collect them, the time you willing to spend, and its value to you.

First of all
WELCOME TO THE FORUMMMMMMMMM.
As to doing anything with your coins, if you want a suggestion and you know how to use a computer, look into EXCEL.
With that program you can invest any logging, filing, etc system you want. Why learn what someone else wants you to use when you can make your own.
Sit down and check out a few coins. Then get back here and ask about them. Slowly you can develope and idea of the rest of them.
As a beginner, no hurry since your still learning.
