Here's a challenge, I think.
It's a Honduran 1911 1 Centavos.
Coin is extremely dark brown and the devices are recessed below the rim so it is difficult to get much light down there.
Let me know your thought process in grading!

wwhitman- To be totally honest, I wonder if this is a real coin or just a very strange-looking coin that was struck over another denomination. Though I have no idea why someone would want to counterfeit a 1 centavo coin, it seems like the placement of the numbers in the date is really strange, much of the lettering seems malformed, and why is the world "centavo" pluralized with a huge "S" which overlaps some of the wreath design. I do see in my Krause that these frequently had overdates and were struck over other coin denominations as well, but this coin just looks odd.

I agree with Archraz, this coin doesn't look right at all.

Looks ok for the series. I suspect this piece was overstruck on an earlier 1/2 Cent. The reverse on these have many varieties. A quick search found several matches for this one. The 1911 Centavos variety is listed in KM.

DCH- might you have any links to images of similar oddly overstruck coins of this type?

DCH- Wow, that is just wild. I didn't realize that quality control was so low for Honduras during the early 20th century.

Thanks for the verification.
The coin looks uncirculated to me. The rim seems to be pretty much in tack. And with the 'innards' recessed I would take its appearance to be from the minting process -

It seems indeed difficult to decide weather this coin was born like that.
Maybe it is possible to decipher some luster when holding the coin in hand?
But you cannot call such a coin uncirculated without giving precisions about the poor strike.
Imagine yourself buying this coin graded unc and paying the price for that grade.
This being said, still a nice find and a very interesting coin!

Gee, I think it would be quite easy:
Uncirculated, strike -awful
