echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 04/17/2010 1:24 pm I'm a little unsure about this coin. The dentals don't look right and whatever that dirt is in between the devices it almost looks like residue from casting. I hope I'm wrong. Anyway, details wise I would grade this coin at AU-50. Krause has it listed at $600 for EF. I would have it slabbed and if it comes back genuine it's probably worth in the range of $700. Report this Post to the Staff
wwhitman Pillar of the Community United States 1415 Posts	Posted 04/17/2010 5:23 pm I'm pretty sure it is original, I have known the source for 40 years. Not really sure what to do with it. Note I am not selling. Should I attempt a clean by soaking in mineral oil for a couple of weeks, followed by acetone and a final clean up in soapy water. Or as Echizento suggests send off to be slabbed. I only have a few coins slabbed that are not US. Report this Post to the Staff

Just got it out of the mineral oil followed by acetone. unfortunately or fortunately - depends on how ya look at it. No difference. She still is a lovely lady.
