Duhbail- would to be possible for you to post some pictures of the coin? This will help us to assess the value, but I also would love to see it.

Duhbail- WOW! That is a nice-looking coin. That is the single wagon shaft variety of this coin (KM# 8.1), which is quite a rare coin considering that it only had a mintage of 14,000. MY Krause states that in EF-40 it is worth #50, and that in Unc it is worth $850. Since your coin is right between those grades, and considering the fact that this coin has very nice eye-appeal and is certified, I would say between $600 and $700

Sorry, Archraz, but you're looking at the crowns. This is a halfcrown - same design, except for the "2½" rather than the "5" denomination. KM# 7 in the catalogue - it doesn't have the "wagon errors" the crown does. 1894 mintage 134,000, values (in my 2004 edition) $225 in EF; $750 in Unc. I'd guess this would be worth somewhere around $500, plus or minus a hundred.

Sap- whooops. Thanks for correcting me.

Duhbail- Sorry if my misreading got your hopes up a bit for a minute there. But you coin is still quite uncommon and quite valuable. Congrats!
