NGC recently changed the format of their FMV Online Price Guide to include two lines for each variety listed - base and plus +... What's that all about?

Thank you!

I'm assuming its because of PCGS' new Secure Plus feature.

NGC is now "+" grading coins as PCGS started doing a couple months ago.

Is that a separate thing from their "Star" designation? Golly, this is getting complicated. Maybe they should have just graded the stuff right in the first place.

The NGC Plus is different from the * designation. The PLUS will be awarded during th grading process on coins that technically do not qualify for the next highest grade, but are high end in the grade they assign. It is also possible for a coin to obtain both the PLUS and * designation.

It should also be noted that NGC is not charging extra for the PLUS designation review as it will be considered during their normal grading process.

Lonnie is absolutely correct and just want to add that the + designation is only available for the EF-45 to MS-68 grades.
