I picked up a pretty good bunch of early coppers awhile back.

This appears to be the oldest I have found in the lot so far , I read the date as 1675.

Metalman- Very nice! It is quite surprising how inexpensive these are in lower grades. I have two (1672 & 1674), which probably grade Good+, that I got for quite a good deal. So have you found any other treasures in the lot?

My guess is that it's a farthing. Am I right? Diameter 22 - 23 mm?

It is a farthing,

There were 12 Hong Kong One cent coins from 1863 to 1905, 1862 Victoria Half Cent,1822& 1825 Georgius IIII farthings, several India fractional anna coins 1862 -1889,quite a few french and Italian coins also, I still have about 70 coins to go through, some are slicks that will be next to impossible to identify.

Sounds like fun! I love to ID a coin that presents a challenge. Only on a rare occasion I had to rely on the expertize of folks here.
