Searched $40 of nickels tonight nothing special until the last roll when I found a 1916 D buffalo. had to nic her to see the date but still a very rare find.

That had to have been exciting! Finding a Buffalo nickel from circulation is still on my to do list (along with finding an Indian Head cent).

Look for the buffalo first - they're like an order of magnitude more common!

got 3 dateless so far from rolls
one I can see on the back in a san fran mint, and the others are either warn away like the dates or P mint
I have seen multiple different opinions on this, nick a date or no?
I dont plan on selling the coins so I guess it would be whatever makes me happy, however I heard using this method makes the coin turn ugly looking and needs to be redone to keep the coin looking nice, and you are just withering away the coin
what to do?
