Well they do match the $10/$20/$50 bills of 1935. Makes me wonder if one of Richard Simmons' ancestors ran the BOC.....

I don't like them. The imagery while reminiscent of the notes is .... off... something weird I couldn't put my finger on initially then when I was looking at the bills I realized how dependent the art on them is to the colours used.

Ugly,
I was never big on notes - can you scan and post them on this thread?
Thanks.

I'd have to take them out of index and while I like moving the leaves back and forth, I don't like handling the notes unless I have to - so I'm going to blatantly cop out and point you here https://www.jandm.com/script/getite...D=11&PID=148Where you can see how the original colours of Canadian note values were when established as a set.

Wish they still made notes with that kind of engraving and artistic detail.

Where can these be ordered? Right from the Royal Canadian Mint, but their website hasnt been updated as of yet. People who spend more than $999.00 per year are privy to see and pre-order inventory (like these items) before it is officially announced to the remaining public.

Dollar, Yes the $50 has a low mintage of 2,000 but after a couple days open to the public I would have expected a sell out already. The Water Lily on the other hand (mintage 10,000 @ $105) is sold out. I did not expect a sell out, and so quickly. I don't know, we'll see.
