Could someone point me to a decent Statehood Quarter error site? I'm sure I have found 2 broken wing errors, but want to see more. Sorry, I haven't got the pics thing mastered yet. Any thoughts on value, they both are AU. I thought I'd give the picture a try.

Never heard of a "broken wing" error If you are referring to the wing of the pheasant being separated from the body, then that is attributable to over-polishing of the dies and is not considered to be an error.

Too many ebay hucksters have made up all these cutesy little names for every microscopic anomaly found on State Quarters. The sixth "claw" on the Alaska quarter, "extra flower petals" on the Arizona quarter, and too many others to remember- all of them are only worth face value. These thing get overhyped and then purchased by people who do not understand errors and then they are disappointed to find out they they have mere pocket change and not some fabulously valuable error.

Thank you for your response, biokemist. I was referring to the bump or clob of something on the left wing near the neck. I have two with the same thing on it. I'll try another pic., and again, thanks for your response.

Looks like it might be a die chip.

Regarding State Quarter Errors:

check out the web page below, Variety Vista, Split Image- all the different State Quarter Errors listed by Dr James Wiles.

That would be a die chip, a common occurrence, which is from a small piece broken off the die. This will frequently occur at points on a die that have inherent weakness. Some examples would be the corner of the Lincoln Memorial on a cent and the base of Washington's bust on a quarter. If a die chip keeps developing, it will eventually form a die break which signifies the imminent failure of a die. One particular type of die break you might have heard of is a Cud which is a very collectible error. A Cud is a specific type of die break that affects the shank and face of a die.
