arthrene Pillar of the Community United States 1713 Posts	Posted 06/01/2010 8:29 pm Well I've finally gotten around to sorting through some of the stuff that I brought back from my Philippine adventures and I've decided to do a 10 part contest. Each part, and it's prizes, will in some way relate to the Philippines. The prizes, IMHO, will go from least to greatest. Prizes will be sent when all 10 parts are finished so that I can put any other prizes you might win in the same package. PART V The Challenge: In the Philippines, knocking is not the typical way to gain access to a home. What is done instead? First one to post the correct answer wins. One guess per day. The Prize: Type set of circulating Filipino coinage (5 centavos, 10 centavos, 25 centavos, 1 piso, 5 piso, and 10 piso). nod2003 Pillar of the Community United States 3294 Posts	Posted 06/02/2010 11:49 am It is a complicated procedure. 1st, you must phone ahead, preferably 3+ hours in advance. 2nd, you must blow an airhorn, once when crossing onto their property, and then again while standing in front of the door. The owner will come to the door and ask for a retina scan, a finger print scan and a secret password. Once those have been verified, you are allowed to make an appointment to come and visit the next day. Report this Post to the Staff
