Need help identifying what US coin was used over the eagles feathers on the reverse of this 2000P JFK half I found roll searching this morning.

Seems to be a nice squeeze job.

That's a strange one, looks like an anvil - it looks to me like it was stamped in after circ. but I am no expert.

The coin was struck with a punch shaped like a blacksmith anvil but the real question is why

It did leave traces on the obverse, Kennedy's hair is a bit flattened
