Went to a fairly well searched local school today. it was close and we wanted to get out before the morning warmed up too much. No such luck it was 83° at 7am.. 88° when we were done.
Gave the jungle gym a quick skim for a grand total of 14 cents. Never do find much there. we then moved the the Kiddie pick up area and the paths along the sides of the building.
Still plenty of stuff to be found even in well visited areas.
You do get a little sick of hearing that cent chime after a while though. Did find a nice silver bracelet though. That more than makes up for the over abundance of Lincolns.

I was in School ground couple days ago, got the same idea to do coin search. I realized that Rich Kids in California don't put value on Penny, Nickel nor Dime. They won't bother to pick them up if they drop them. I figured I might find something valuable here. I went to various School Ground a lot, since I contract and build cabinets for schools.

Went on a road trip through CA a while back every place we stopped seemed to have been searched. Most mornings we would spot at least one person swinging..

I live in Southern California since 1986, not recall specifically seeing somebody swinging down here. I saw or even watch somebody doing it while I was on vacation, somewhere, I forgot. I felt it is very "unique", that is why I watch him. Probably next time you should try here from Malibu, Palos Verdes, Newport Beach down to San Diego. But then, is it worth the time?

Went down the Coast road from San Francisco to San Diego. Most detectorists are out at first light... We did not do badly just not as well as one would have expected for the amount of sites we searched..

No wonder I never see them. First light is too early for me. I found a inexpensive women gold watch in the past without detector. It was buried in the sand. I gave it to my employee.
