Had started this in another forum for discussing an Airtite album in stead of the 7070 for my type set.
https://goccf.com/t/65780I wanted to continue it as an "as I go" thread, but figured that it should just be a new thread.
Quick catch up:
I don't like how static the 7070 is and decided to do a custom Type set using Airtites and an album made for Airtites to house my type set. I'm doing a pretty high quality typeset, so this feels like a better way to protect my "investment."
For a complete list of what I'm including and a page by page breakdown with sizes, you can check the previous thread.
So To start it off, Here is what I had bought previously.

Followed by what I bought yesterday.

As for grade,
The walker is an Easy MS-65. I think the bag mark in the field of the Obv will keep it from going much higher. Other than that its Beautiful. Great cartwheel / Luster. One of my dealers sold me this strait from his Son's collection that he sold. I was so honored when he said "Hey, I got something you need for your type set." He showed me this and told where it came from and why, and when he said $45, I didn't even think about it. It was an great deal.
The Silver 3 Cent is, IMO MS-63/64. The strike is good, but slightly weak around the lettering on the Obverse. This I got for $180, however that was cause they graded it MS-60. Under graded IMO, I told the dealer what I thought, he looked at it and said "Yea, its definitely better than MS-60, but oh well, good find for ya." One reason I like that shop.

The thing I really like about this coin is it has a decent strike through of the Obv on the Rev, and the Rev on the Obv. The picture does this no justice.
The 1939-D Mercury was graded "GemBu" which I could not argue. It was marked up a little bit over standard price for a High MS Mercury, but at $45 I couldn't resist. When I picked up this coin I just kept looking for a flaw, I couldn't find one.

This coin has amazing eye appeal! It cartwheel's like you wouldn't believe, and it has an incredibly strong strike (the dealer had wrote on the 2x2 "FSB" so he definitely noticed it too). I probably looked at this coin for 30 minutes and decided, I had to have THIS coin. You can even see the grain of the wood at the base of the bottom branch.

Still in the market from a MS-65ish SLQ Type I / II. Ill be keeping my eyes peeled.
And I'm still waiting on the albums in the mail, should be here this week.
