Picked this one up at a fle mkt the other day. I'd give it a high MS grade but don't really have anything to go by to say for sure. wondering if anyone can give me an app value?

I'm not asking for an expert grade opinion. What's an MS60 1949 1 shilling worth?

Fiddler, 1947-48 and 1949-50-51 1 Shillings are pretty rare in mint states or uncirculated. They're very tricky to grade, specially the portrait side is very deceiving. Check the top of the George's ear, if it even has a minor degree of flattening, than it is not mint-state. Check the cheek of the monarch, if there is any contact mark, than it is not a mint state coin too.
Why am I telling you all this? a mint state 1949 S can go up to US 10-12 $, whereas a gEF or an EF can't fetch more than a buck.
