You guys have some very nice and interesting CBH here. My personal favorite is Johnny's 1838, but I like clashing and breaks as well and Dave's 1814 certainly has plenty of that. Here is another 1814 that exhibits numerous clashes. Check out the letter transfers below the eagle's left wing.

Zeewool! That 1814 is amazing! That clash is tremendous!

Wow, that is one incredible 39-O Moe. Just fantastic. With all of the cracks, it is hard to imagine that this is actually a mid die state. I have a couple of very late die states of this variety that I will try to scan and post. (Mine in no way compare to your coin condition wise, as mine are just barely recognizable as to what they are).

Nice CBH echizento... they look a bit familiar. Have I seen them somewhere before possibly?......Lewy.

Check out all of the scratches on these coins guys:

Oh wait a minute, there aren't any scratches, those are all die cracks....

Zeewool, love those die breaks. You probably have seen the coins here when I posted them for grades.

Zeewool! Those die cracks on that 1812 are INTENSE! It looks like the die fell apart right after that coin was minted! Wow!

And thank you all for the kind words about some of my CBHs. I really do like 'em!

A couple more, (if you wish...)

Well if we are going to do that echizento, I hope that you have the vast majority of them, because I specialize in 1837 for the most part, and haven't got a ton of lettered edge left. I will try to help out wherever I can though, even if I have to go buy some more. For right now though, here are a couple of late stage 39'O's to make Moe's 'O' look just that much better.

In these late states, the reverse die is actually sinking in the center which gives the same effect as a Retained Cud (not on the periphery, but rather the metal flow is relegated to the inner portions of the coin). The same effect can be found on several of the 1795 DBH.

Both of these are 1839-O JR-1D (R-5)
