I would grade it at MS-63, Not quite enough luster to make MS-64. Still a very nice looking coin.

I'm going to say it has a shot at 64. The lack of contact marks in the fields and especially on the devices (i.e. Liberty's cheek) lead me to this conclusion. The Philadelphia strikes were solid and the only thing that concerns me is the weak 'w' in 'we' on the reverse. This could be from a partially filled-in die as the rest of the motto appears strong.

Let us know how this grades if you send it in.

I believe the WE was grease filled, as there are absolutely no contact marks on it or around that area.... I bought it for my birthday, always wanted one of the keys...and I do wish it had more luster...Hey anybody got any mercury I can borrow?....maybe I can go proof!!
I was happy to get it, it has some mild toning spots, but at VF prices I think it worked out well.......I have seen to many NGC coins lately heavily filled with contact marks at MS 62 and 63 ranges..I got it at EF40 prices.....its a buyers market if you wait for the right coin....
Rest in Peace

Wow, gorgeous. I don't know much about the strikes for these, but if its a clean coin unless its a horrible strike it shouldn't be limited to a 63 I think...

I see virtually no contact marks and I assume the luster is a lot more vibrant in hand, so I'm going to say MS-65 if we're just taking into account how clean the coin is.

it is a very clean coin and was glad it was as nice as I thought it was,,,but the luster was not as nice as I would have hoped for, but it does have mild toning, and I'm used to seeing mostly LUSTRY coins, not to good with the tone ones...over all I am very happy with it.......Im still wondering how many coins have many marks and still make 64/64 and some with minor abrasions on the cheeck still make ms65?
