If this is already at 6 bids and almost 2x face, just imagine how much money some of the people from this forum could make off of these on ebay! (especially since just about half the halves are 1976!

A quick search of completed auctions in the roll section shows them selling for a little over face. I guess putting them in this section instead gives the seller a larger bid pool...and higher price.

Not making anything? I'm quite sure he's pulling these while roll searching which means by getting 17 for 20 (ten dollars worth), he's showing a 70 percent profit....Even allowing ten percent to ebay fees, he's still showing a 60 percent profit on his "investment". If they don't sell, it's back to the bank for face value, so it's a zero percent risk.
It's a good business model for somebody if they are retired or have lots of spare time.

I doubt it is much hassle for him. The seller has nearly 6000 auctions. This indicates he does ebay as a business, so he's got shipping down pat I'm sure. He probably sends a bunch of items out all at once anyway. If you are making a profit it is worth it.

He is using stock pictures for his Half dollar lots... so listing is a breeze..
He also starts them at 12.99 so even with paypal and ebay fees if they sell he will not loose money.

Most of the listings have sold for the start bid or a couple of dollars over. This one would appear to be the exception..
