I brought a lot of Pennies from Pittsburgh. I found a lot of Canadian Penny within them. Before I dissolved them, I would like to know if there is some value among them? They are looks pretty though, makes me think to start collecting. Naaah, Canada makes a lot of coins, it takes a life time to collects. Same as France, Mexico (I have 42 pcs 8 Real 19th century) and England, can't continue, can't drop. I am stuck with bunch of it.

as with all coins, it really depends on the year, and in some canadian pennies slight changes in where the A in gratia points to or inbetween dentiles.....they can be very expensive.. disolve in water or get rid of them?

Here is a nice Canadian Penny. I am guessing worth about $40.

That's not a Canadian Penny, Stunet, it is from Nova Scotia from before confederation. Still, it's very nice.

I keep the odd American pennies, mainly wheaties and the four 2009 pennies obverses. Haven't found a shield yet though. Post the year and I'll let you know if you have any variety to look for.

I am starting a folder of 1950s to date canadian pennies, since I find so many in my coin rolls. I am only missing a couple 50s and some of the 2000s. Only problem - I bought a blank cent whitman folder, but afterwards I figured out canadians are 0.1mm bigger than u.s. cents so they're really hard to cram in there and sometimes you have to whittle out the sides of the hole! But I've got it to work so far with a lot of pushing.

splatto, I went to the link you gave, but was NOT able to make a purchase. I am legally blind,, and can't read the stupid sdquiggles they put up to avoid "('Bots). "BOT-BUSTERS I consider them to be a gross discrimination against we, the visual impaired!
That said, and the reason for having tried in the first place, is that I wanted to but five of the volume 1, 2, and the large cent folders, but, as you see, I am still 'wanting". Does anyone hava an idea as to where these can be obtained/ I will pay for them, plus SD&H, thru PayPal, if it can be arranged.
(Bobby, if this is a "NO-NO" please let mt know)
I need the folders, but can't make any headway with the "Bot-busters blocking the way!
Thanks LMK if you can help. My email addy is in my profile. I still haven't figured out how toPM, here on CCF.

I've seen the Canadian small cent folders at Barnes & Noble, and they will order other items for you (with no shipping) if you pay when you order and give them the ISBN number, which is 978-0794824785 for the large cent folder.

The ISBNs for the small cent folders are 978-0794824792 for volume 1 and 978-0794824808 for volume 2.

canadians not really worth much
****until 1996 they are made of mostly copper tho, I am pretty sure on that date if I remember correctly
Live in buffalo NY a stones throw across the pond get many a canadian cents so copper hoarders keep em****
I personally have one for each year going back into 1937 I think
but I save the ones from 64 on back, they changed the obverse again in 65 to a new picture of the queen so I toss them back like I do 60's american cents
I am pretty sure the King george canadian pennies are worth some cash tho kind of like wheat pennies are in the states those were made until maybe 1952 or so
hope thats a little hoser money info for all us american rebels hahahah
