Picked this up on the bay for $15 and received today. The dark spot on the bottom of the reverse is just a shadow from my hand. Please grade.

Here is my 1917 type 1 that I picked up about a month ago. I had posted it, but no one had given me a grade. So I am including it on this post as well. I just payed a hair over melt for her. Opinions?

bad pictures in the wrong sections can help sometimes...:-) Also, I probably bid on 50 coins for every 1 that I win.

I agree with Johnny - diligence on the bay can lead to good deals. I recently received 58 Mercury dimes - they were in the wrong section, picture of roosevelts, almost no description from seller, who had sold exactly ZERO coins before. Poor title also helped - I paid less than $1 each. Filled 5 holes in my Dansco.

Johnny - I'd also go 8 and 10 on those.....with the 10 pushing 12 if the date were a little better.

nice, and a bit over melt?
Great deal.

Grade?
I'd go VG.

Also, that second picture of the obverse is much better--
The first made it look like only one digit of the date.

Thanks, but they are actually 2 different coins, and the second one would definitely grade higher.
