I cashed a check for a sizable amount and took it all in twenties. Two of them had interesting serial numbers. One is a 2006 #II23434232A and the other is a 2001 #CE0764467C.

I think the first one would be considered a trinary but the second one is almost a radar.

What says the group, spend or save? Any value over face?

well the first is a trinary, and the second is a radar, I'm not sure what its called when the radar is only 6/8 digits, but a radar none the less.

I usually keep em if its not hurting me for money. you can always spend it later I say.

You are missing a digit on that second serial number.

The second note sereal number was short a didgit. The correct number is CE07644467C. So now what do you think?

I'd spend them and keep looking. You can tie up a lot of money real fast looking for stuff that's "close".
Rest in Peace

This thread addresses several questions that I puzzled me for a short while now. The designation of a 'mini radar' intrigues me. The OP's serial number of CE07644467C for instance; I think that I know what a radar note is (pretty obvious), but what makes this particular number a 'mini radar'? Is it that some of the numbers are radar in position, but not all?

The term binary (to me, has always meant 0 and 1) regarding serial numbers means any combination of any two numbers? Trinary would be any combination of any three numbers?

Then there are ladders; ladders are also fairly clear to me (I think)....a serial number such as A12345678A would fit the bill. I have seen sellers claiming mini ladders or broken ladders or reverse broken ladders, and I just don't comprehend the correlation. Could someone explain mini radars, broken or mini ladders please?

Consider the hypothetical numbers A00000211A and G00000210A.

They would both be trinary notes (?), but one would also be a 'reverse mini ladder'? Or are some folks just trying to make something out of nothing, (with a certain degree of success)?
