This is the newest addition to my coin collection and I want to just show it off a bit and see what you think. Opinions on grade are also appreciated.

That is one Bad donkey cent!.

Ben himself would be proud to own such an even specimen.
Thank you for sharing it. I notice it is raw, make sure and take a new pick of it holding it in hand. They always make great shots in hand.

Well, I'll get things started - these are "Fugio Coppers" or "Franklin Cents" - the first coins issued for the Federal Government of the new United States. Although Benjamin Franklin didn't necessarily design these (as he did the Continental Currency pieces), his "MIND YOUR BUSINESS" motto allows him credit, and the design isn't far off of the coinage he penned.

To me, these are among the most important and interesting American pieces ever made. I dig!! :D

That's a beautiful Fugio copper! The legends and sundial are clear, and the planchet looks nice and smooth. A really nice one! I believe it is a Newman 12-M.

Absolutely beautiful and 100/100 points for the U.S. History factor. Right up there with the 1792 "disme".
