Welcome back. At least you did not come back empty handed. Sounds like you had a good time.

Filling two holes is better than filling none.

Welcome back!
I was just reading your thread the other day wondering how the theory was going. I guess the theory is more like, when you're in Hawaii, who's has time to roll-hunt!
Too busy surfing to catch some wavy steps?

Sounds terrific! Does your token look like this one. Not '24. It's '43. Same dies. White metal~'24 zinc~'43. I have both. This one is HA240d and 16mm. They had a bad little hula girl on the '51 issue.

The Hula girl was never issued for transit, they were basically souvenirs Here's all three

i also have the '51 issue with hula girl. I picked it up when I was much younger, but I remember it clearly. I paid 25 cents for it from a coin shop in lahaina. I went back there, but it was gone. I also got my 1909VDB from this shop. I paid $4.75 for my cent in unc, brown.

Weight? Dont know. Never had a scale. Let's see. Flame test is out, unless you have 2. Then there's taste test. Amount of Zn in the body affects this. And then you have the Zn whisker test (yes mrwisker, your own test) that involves electricity. But imho, it appears zinc. Lettering, being abit worn; appears white on the true '24. Same for the '43, except much greyer. My buddy Keith has a website w/1000's of tokens, and great links. I'll see if he's out of bed.

Just by looking at it, I would say you have a zinc there. If I could get to my atwood coffee, I could tell the difference in weight (have to go through a nappin 2yr old room to get it) This one seems to be circulated quite well. If My pictures above are correct, the middle set is zinc. If you had both of them in your hands, telling them apart is easy. with pictures, really good condition hurts your ID sometimes (as above) Zinc always seems to look "dirtier" though (at least in my opinion)
