EDIT - had to edit the title ...
Yesterday while waiting for the local coin shop owner to come back from the bank. I started sorting through a box of Liberty head nickels he had on the counter.

When he came back I had 15 different ones, from 1898 to 1912 D.
I ask what he wanted for them, 80 cents each .. how could I say no.

I was surprised that a few of them had some detail. I thought I would post a couple to show what can be found in some of bargain boxes.

1902 - maybe F to VF, I think it will have to have a soak in acetone
1905 - maybe a dug coin, that's been through a tumbler. Good detail
1907 & 1909 - just caught my eye, I like this look
1912 D - I think could grade good, full rims.

That's what I think. Coins that are just fun. There was a thread on here a while back where a member put together a whole low grade set ..I thought that looked like fun.

Not sure how many I can find like this but I have about 20 different date nickels now.
Just think about all the beer nickel like these would have bought.
