Probably not a common topic. I have 2500+ in Euros that I have saved. Looking at money rates, the Euro is NOT doing well. I would like to know if I should get rid of them now or do you think the Euro is going to gain its previous $1.50 status?

My opinion would be that if precious continues going at the rate that's up, the euro and US dollar will continue to go down for the year and maybe next year also.

They might be a relic of the past and shoot up in value! Why not keep them? They're as good as the British Pound right now.

Depends upon how soon you may need that cash. If you have time just sit and wait: lowest has been 0.78 highest 1.60. There have already been several ups and downs.

You generally get messed up on exchange rates anyways. Find a way to spend them locally or online. If you know somebody going to Europe, offer to seel them some Euros - especially if it's a business trip. Euro is still shaky (1.29 compared to 1.54 on the British Pound [related to CAD$ not US$]). Currency trading is so risky (plus the already mentioned exhange rate that screws you almost every time).

I know it's a 3-month-old thread, but I'm wondering what happened - are there updates? Still hanging onto those E500 bills?
