I would say no on the PM damage. No noticeable damage on or around
the MM. Looks to be die wear/chip caused.
Do not know of any rpm's etc. for this one.

The 1st pic definately looks 'whacked". 2nd is more suspect.

First, compare your suspect coin to others of the same year and mint mark.

1971-S-LMC

Notice the bottom loop os S is quite large. Now imagine a foreign object striking that loop and you have the same coin you pictured.
