Hi everyone I am new to thins so I don't know exactly what to post.. all I know is my hubby found this bill in one of his cash registers at work and he has been collecting longer then I have so he was happy to find this.. I was wondering if any one would be able to help me a value of this 1928 B 20 bill I'm not sure if the picture will do it justice with the coloring of it.The back of this bill is a very bright green. It looks in great condition besides a couple winkles. You can read everything on it with ease. Hope you guys can help me out here!

Nice find! Especially being a '28. You've got about $35 to $40 there, aside from the history. And notice on the upper left that these were redeemable for gold back in the day. If it were only so today.....

Hope this helps,

Steve

thank you all for your help. I really do appreciate it! my hubby is very excited about this find. It is quite surprising how people would just go to a Burger King and spend this bill.. they must have been very hungry! lol

That would definitely be something to get excited about! I would love to get one of these in circulation. I don't need one, I already have one, but they will turn up in circulation once in a blue moon.

When I was much younger I bought a 1934 $20 for $35 from someone I worked with. Time went on and I came to a place in life, a few years later, where I really needed money, and was forced to spend it. I did not collect them then, and had bought it just because it was cool.

The person I was with at the time grabbed it from me and gave me another twenty which I spent. So, you could say I "sold" it for twenty dollars. I'm glad I'm a lot older and a little wiser now!

That could be the case, or someone that simply doesn't realise that it has more value than twenty dollars. In either case you were the "lucky" recipient.
