Irishraider,a postal order is very much like a banknote in many respects. There is a lot of interest in postal orders, especially in England. As a result, the demand for them is strengthening.I collect them myself as a sideline to the British Commonwealth banknote hobby, considering that some countries only ever issued postal orders as their contribution to numismatics.

When I saw the price that these went for,I was really floored!

Scoutjim99,7,123 Pounds Sterling is a lot of money.I have been informed by contacts in England, who are also members of the Postal Order Society, that the successful bidder is a former member of the P.O.S. who was expelled for serious misconduct a long time ago.
