Put in a buck for a bag of chips and got 4 dimes and a nickel in change. Boy was I surprised when one of the dimes was a 1908 S. This is the first really old coin I have gotten in change. Not in very good condition, face is totally smooth, but you can read the wording, and date. On the reverse you can read one dime, and the mint mark. (the o in one is hardly readable) Not too bad for a 102 year old coin.

I have gotten some early 60s roosevelts, but never something that old. That's really impressive!

Do you work for Frito Lay or something? We have to pay $0.75 in our vending machine.

Nice find! For the record, the machines at work have everything for $0.60.
