I dunno, I dont get it.
My thread I started and posted yesterday about that Roman coin hoard, that the guy with the metal detector found got moved to the ancient coin section.
I got an email, and sure enough its not here.
Im struggling with why they would do that, I posted that here because within this whole site, I only consort with the Canadian collectors section. It was only posted as an interesting tidbit to those that frequent here, and nothing else but.
I mean, no-one was talking about their condition, potential trends value, what varieties they were, etc.
If I posted a thread about French coins that ciurculated in Canada, would it get moved to the foreign coin section?
I dont get it, I just think theres bigger fish to fry than dealing with something as petty as this.
Anyhow.....

Ancient coin topics belong in the ancient coin forum. We can't let members post things "Where they hang out," they need to be where they belong. Just like this one belongs in the support forum as it has nothing to do with Canadian coins.

You say petty, I say organized.

That would depend on relevance. If the discussion centred on their usage in Canada, then it would probably stay there. If they were modern French coins you found in change in Canada, that could stay too. But if their usage in or relevance to Canada was either just mentioned casually, or not mentioned at all, then yes, I would move it to the general World Coins section.

I moved your thread about ancient Roman coins found in Britain to the ancients section, because it was irrelevant to Canadian coins. If a hoard of Roman coins were found in Canada, that would be a different story.

Then all you will ever read about and discuss is Canadian coins. CCF is a general coin forum; if you want to read about or discuss other kinds of coins, I suggest you broaden your mind and check out the other subforums.
