I don't know if this has been around awhile, but I hadn't seen it before:

Pretty interesting and useful info there. The amount of fakes on ebay has indeed reached a new high.

You know what's ironic about all this? About a month ago the state of Massachusetts was selling unclaimed property on ebay, including some counterfeit coins. They dutifully noted in the description that these coins were counterfeit and ebay pulled all their auctions. I guess ebay only goes after the low hanging fruit.

Some one really needs to come up with an auction site that caters to honest collectors.

Heritage and Teletrade can be considered honest auction sites. However, they also have killer buyer's fees.

That is exactly why I created my site. I am so sick and tired of the increased fees and dishonest business that the big sites do, I had to do what little I could.

That is one way to get the word out. Have to give this person credit for trying to do something since ebay refuses to do anything about the problem.

I still just can't see spending that much money for a coin without being able to look at it in person. But what do I know?
