I stumbled across that very same web page about a year or two ago. I ended up making about a dozen rings for gifts that year. His technique and instruction is excellent. As a matter of fact, I am wearing three of them now. A 1957-D Franklin for my middle finger and a pair of 1956-D Washingtons for pinky rings. With practice you can make one in around 4-5 hours, depending on the ring size.
