Yes,

A few days ago, I mentioned that I purchased a mystery lot on ebay and I would get back to you on the results. Well, with applause:

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have officially left the mystery coin lot club. Investment or enjoyment is very inpropable when you join the club.

I have not went through in much detail of each of the coins to see if this is worth the money I spent, but this will be my first and last mystery lot. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, jump out and touch my simple coin loving heart. Only good thing was the auction was for 15 coins and I received 25 coins.

If anybody had any luck with mystery lot, congratulations. I felt like I did not get my Red Ryder BB gun:).

OK, somebody's going to say it so why not me. We told you so. We all had great hopes but? Sorry that it didn't work out for you - I truly am. One never knows with those things but, it is rare that it's really a good coin collectors deal. Stay with our forum...I haven't been misguided yet by the folks here nor do I expect to. Hang in there!

Take it from dsking on this one! There are no mystery lots worth the money and no such thing as UNSEARCHED coins unless of course you just dug up some buried treasure somewhere! And, the best advice you received was STAY WITH US and I can guarantee you-you will get your monies worth by doing so, especially since this forum is free!!!

I guess this also depends on how much you paid for it?And did you get your moneys worth. It probably isn't a good idea to buy mystery lots, but sometimes I can't help myself.I love the possible surprise myself. There's a fellow here I know that cleans out silo's and old houses, and every once in awhile he comes across some coins he found,he brings them to me,and at a cheap price I buy them.I look forward to see what's coming next :)So far I've been lucky with my ebay purchases, but that may not always be the case.sn31.

Sorry to hear about you experience. I bought 20 kilos of world coins off ebay a few moths ago and it was a blast searching through them. I don't know if I got a good deal or not because I don't have any books to check my coins. I did but together a nice collection of coins that I liked.

One shouldn't expect to find treasures out from "mystery" lot and to be sold for profit. Else everyone else would be doing it!
