I see a crescent and a star, cerscent and the star has been used in mainly Turkey and Pakistan. Since, Turkey was founded in 1923 (before that was the Ototman Empire and they NEVER did use star-and-crescent in coins, finding it a Turkish symbol not an Ottoman symbol) it could be Pakistani, considering it came with a group of Indian Sultanate coins. There is this Arabic word on the other side that reminded me of the word "Allah" or "Maasallah" (God, or God's Grace) but I am not sure, I am just guessing based on teh design I do not have experience in that area.
The high points are still a goldish color, but darker. It may be gilded base metal, brass or a low grade gold alloy. It seems a bit light to me for gold.
