So I go to my local bank to get my usual box of halves and I happen to ask if they have received any BU coins lately. Well just my luck the teller tells me they've got boxes of 2010 "D" Shield Pennies and 2010 "P" Dimes! Of course I loaded up on them.

~Sorry the images are a little dark, missing 2 bulbs in my room.. >.<

What are you planning on doing with all those pennies Deltron? I can't imagine keeping all of them.

The dimes I am going to hold onto, those will only increase in value. As far as the pennies go I might try my luck on ebay, I see boxes going for 35/40/45.. I've read that they estimate 2 billion mintage for the shield pennies so I think it's better to offload most of them now while the hype is still strong.

+1 Neil.. Never gonna loose any money doing this.

Sure you can loose money selling those on E-bay. You bought it for 25 and sell for 35 .... you are not making any money after ebay takes their fee and pay pal does the same. .75 insertin fee 3.15 final fee based on $35 pay pal .30 and 1.02 total fees = 5.22 Also make sure you have your shipping high enough to cover the weight. A lot of risk for 4.78

It isn't negativity, it is being realistic. This forum is all about information and knowledge...someone can come along, read it, and believe they should go to the bank and drop thousands of dollars on new rolled coins. Then put them all in the closet and tell his wife "I can't lose money on this!" After all, if it can make money on a small scale, it should make money on a large scale, right?

Deltron, to the forum. I like to get new coins from the bank as much as the next guy. But an increase in value is not the only thing that can happen.

I agree youngfee in fact your attitude isn't needed on the forum :)
when someone simply states facts that are completely correct how is that negative
FACTS are exactly what a forum needs

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm not too concerned with holding onto this cause I can always exchange it face value, I'm never going to loose money doing it. I guess I'm just fortunate enough to have thousands lying around. rofl... I look it at as investing my money in a possible profit, and if it doesn't make money in the end, oh well, at least I tried.
