I get a bit of a discount on them too, but I think mine are $85.00 apiece, renewed about 6 months apart, so it's pretty cheap. I believe the smallest ones are like $25.00 each. If I paid for an alarm system at home....installation cost and monthly bill would cost MUCH MUCH MORE THAN THAT IN A YEARS TIME ! And then the safe " I " would need, with the right fire rating, and the right size that I want, etc. etc., would cost me a MINIMUM of $1,000.00. So, I weigh all of that and combine it with the safety and security of a bank.......it's money well spent. Report this Post to the Staff

I do keep some I sell in a location in my house that I am very confident is safe. I have the largest SDB that my bank has and it's stuffed! It's $110 per year. jedichef Pillar of the Community United States 781 Posts	Posted 07/19/2010 10:31 pm i have a pillar of coin boxes, nickel cent and dime from my roll hunting. probably not a good idea to have these visible from the outside. but our apartment is fairly secure and isolated. I keep my 2x2s in a dime box on the bookshelf, my silver stash in a half dollar box on the bookshelf, my wheat hoard in a canvas bank sack (also on a bookshelf), I keep my golds and other higher end bullion types in a small portable fire safe (somewhere in the house). all my coin folders are right on the bookshelf too. I look at them too often to keep them in anything especially secure. i'll probably get a larger safe when we get a house somewhere. Report this Post to the Staff
